Fromm Pet Food – 5th Generation Family Owned Pet Food Company
Come learn about Fromm Pet Food, a pet food company that has been around for over 5 generations and the company that pioneered the process to make the first complete and balanced meal in the form of kibble!
We are dedicated to Health, Family, and Quality.
Fromm Family Foods is a 5th generation family owned and operated artisan pet food company. In the 1930s we developed the canine and feline distemper vaccines. We pioneered the process of cooking meat and grain together in the 1940s to create the first complete and balanced meal in the form of a kibble. In the 1980s we pioneered the use of mixed tocopherols, which is a natural source of vitamin E, and we used a natural preservative to maintain freshness in our foods. In the 1990s we were one of the first pet food companies to utilize fresh meat as a primary ingredient in our foods. In the 2000s we introduced Fromm Four-Star Nutritionals, the very first variety driven, rotational product line on the market giving pet parents/owners the ability to feed Chicken Ala Veg for breakfast, Game Bird recipe for lunch, and Surf & Turf for dinner (just to name a few).
Today our President, Tom Nieman, along with his two sons Dan and Bryan, work side by side to carry on the long family tradition of quality and innovation. We produce our artisan pet foods in small, hands-on, controlled batches here in Wisconsin with only the finest ingredients. We process our own meat, fish and vegetables on site. In fact, we’re on the same delivery route as local grocery stores and we receive shipments of meat, fish, and produce every day.In addition to producing superior products, our acute attention to safety is unique. Each batch undergoes several inspections including raw ingredient testing, in-processing testing, and a final PCT (Product Consistency Test) which tests for everything from protein, fat, fiber and moisture to the presence of unwanted contaminates or pathogenic bacteria that could be problematic. Our final product is held on site until our PCT clears it for distribution.
